First of all, I’m not sure how you found me, but I’m a strong believer in everything happening for a reason.  So many things had to have occurred cosmically for this moment to come to pass. That being said, I want to personally thank you for staying long enough to want to get to know me. 

 

For those who don't know me personally, my name is Mikali Martika, (pronounced Mick-ah-lie Mar-tee-kah).  I am a 30 something-year-old 'Jersey Girl' who considers herself one part hippie and one part broke girl extraordinaire. However, I'm sure my friends and family would consider me a fun loving, goofy girl who's passionate about traveling the world without breaking the bank. I am an independent travel consultant, freelance journalist, and digital content creator, working endlessly towards producing and hosting my own travel show. 

 

I seriously live and breath travel! So far, I’ve been to over 20 countries--spanning 5 continents and this is only the beginning for me. I know you may wonder how was I able to see so much of the world and the simple answer is I was a Student Ambassador in the People to People program growing up. Then as an adult, I continued on with the tradition of exploring the world, one exotic and beautiful location at a time. 

 

While I've had the privilege of traveling the world, the real reward was traveling with a purpose. Our world is so vast and awesome, it's just begging to be explored. In every corner of this planet, culture, people and experiences are all tucked away and I want to be a part of it to learn from it and share what I experience with you, my family and friends. Over the years I've gathered valuable information that will help you unlock the world around you. And the most important part? I want to show you all how you can travel affordably. I mean what's the purpose of breaking open that piggy bank if you don't experience something, worthwhile?
